So, some friends of mine are trying to make a feature film this summer. They’re partnering with a non-profit that offers filmmaking education for high school kids.
They’re funding the effort via kickstarter, and all donations/pledges are tax deductible (meaning you’ll get the money back on your tax return if your itemized deductions are more than the standard deduction)
At any rate, there’s 3 days left on the pledge drive and they need like $400 of the $12k total or their fundraiser is dead in the water. Even $1 helps and you’re helping kids learn that being creative is awesome and encouraged.
